Stellaluna is a story of a tiny fruit bat who is separated from her mother. She is adopted by a small family of birds, who overcome their initial confusion at the little bat's unusual habits and accept her as a member of the family-with some compromises. The youngStellaluna and her new friends all learn some important lessons.

The art in the Stellaluna is gorgeous with wonderful clickable animations. There are often several different animations from each starting point that enhance Stellaluna's re-playability.

The sound is unique as well . Done with a true African flavor, it deepens the sense of being on the veldt. Overall, Stellaluna is athoughtful, engrossing CD-ROM with much to offer a child.

A great addition to this particular Living Books CD-ROM is a special quiz section about bats. The quiz has three levels of difficulty to suit any age user and was created with help from members of the California Bat Conservation Fund and the California Academy of Science.(Ages 4-8)
