iwdReader The iwdReader is free software that allows you to view and print Insight Web Document (.iwd) files. It is a patent-pending solution that Insight Development designed to make organizing and sending information easier and more efficient. It is the core technology behind NetKnowledge Tools, and is used in all of our components. Basically, an .iwd file, or Insight Web Document, is much like a .zip file or an .exe in that it is a container of information.
An .iwd file is much more efficient than other file types because you can view its contents easily with NetKnowledge Tools or the iwdReader, and less likely to have hidden viruses than .exe files. The proprietary .iwd file format allows HTML/XML documents, and all other files (images, text, music files, pdf, etc.) to reside compressed in one file. This overcomes the troublesome issue of having incompatible or differing applications, operating systems, and file compression types. With NetKnowledge Tools, you can communicate without roadblocks. In iOrganize-it, you can create an Internet Web Book, or .iwb file, which is simply a collection of .iwd files. When you have collected pages of information, this compiles into an easy to send "book." You can send all or part of a book to a friend or colleague.
