This is Norton Utilities for Mac version 3.5 from 1997. I obtained this software recently as part of another purchase. I already have a Norton Utilities disk, though, so I do not need this extra software. If you are familiar with the old "classic" Mac OS environment, you are probably already acquainted with Norton. Before the days of TechTool Pro, once upon a time when Symantec fully supported Apple, this was the preferred utility suite for Macs. The disk contains the sub-programs Disk Doctor, Unerase, Volume Recover, Speed Disk, Crashguard, and System Info. Also included is an "emergency" floppy diskette for 680X0 Macs.

Compatibility information for old versions of Norton is hard to find these days. Based on my limited research, however, this particular version of Norton should be compatible with Mac OS 7.1 to 8.0 in the "standard" HFS volume format. It is not compatible with the "extended" HFS+ volume format used in Mac OS 8.1 to 9.2 or with any version of OS X. Please make sure you do your own research to confirm this version is compatible with your particular Mac system.
