NetKnowledge Tools suite consists of three distinct programs. With iCapture-it, users capture Web pages or entire sites, dynamic or static, for offline browsing. iAnnotate-it allows users to draw, highlight, comment, and stick notes directly on Web pages before emailing them to friends and colleagues. With iOrganize-it, the most robust component of the suite, users can gather bits and pieces of information from Web sites simply by dragging and dropping objects, such as text, images, animations, and entire pages into the iOrganize-it band. Information gathered, annotated and emailed using NetKnowledge Tools can be viewed both online and off, giving users a tremendous advantage. Each program in the NetKnowledge Tools suite can operate as a standalone application or with each other. NetKnowledge Tools incorporates an iwdReader component which is free software that allows you to view and print Insight Web Document (.iwd) files. iwdReader is included on this CD-ROM.

The iwdReader is free software that allows you to view and print Insight Web Document (.iwd) files. It is a patent-pending solution that Insight Development designed to make organizing and sending information easier and more efficient. It is the core technology behind NetKnowledge Tools, and is used in all of our components. Basically, an .iwd file, or Insight Web Document, is much like a .zip file or an .exe in that it is a container of information.

An .iwd file is much more efficient than other file types because you can view its contents easily with NetKnowledge Tools or the iwdReader, and less likely to have hidden viruses than .exe files. The proprietary .iwd file format allows HTML/XML documents, and all other files (images, text, music files, pdf, etc.) to reside compressed in one file. This overcomes the troublesome issue of having incompatible or differing applications, operating systems, and file compression types. With NetKnowledge Tools, you can communicate without roadblocks. In iOrganize-it, you can create an Internet Web Book, or .iwb file, which is simply a collection of .iwd files. When you have collected pages of information, this compiles into an easy to send "book." You can send all or part of a book to a friend or colleague.
